General
MSBuild Sidekick v3 Beta allows you to view, edit, build and
debug Microsoft Visual Studio©
2005, 2008 and 2010 C# and VB.Net project files, Microsoft Team Build project files, Visual Studio©
2005, 2008 and 2010 solution files as well as custom MSBuild projects. While providing
rich Graphic User Interface, integrated build/debug and
extensive logging capabilities, the application requires
only .Net runtime to operate.
MSBuild Sidekick v3 Beta supports MSBuild 2.0, 3.5 and 4.0 schemas. It allows changing project file
schema dynamically during editing; the user interface will support elements depending on the schema
selected.
MSBuild Sidekick v3 Beta supports all features available previously in version
2.3 as described on the product page.
New features relating to MSBuild 4.0 are detailed below.
Beta notes
Currently distributed version of MSBuild Sidekick v3 is an open Beta working with publicly released Microsoft Beta 2 software.
The Beta version provided does not require license key and can be used until May
2010; once RTM version of .Net 4.0 is available, it will be followed with
release version of MSBuild Sidekick.
While MSBuild Sidekick v3 Beta supports all available MSBuild flavors (2.0, 3.5
and 4.0), it will always use .Net 4.0 runtime to operate on projects from
withing Sidekick environment; that would be changing for release version.
Download
